Complete Exhaustion

I woke up today at 6 am to take my oldest daughter to school. My goal was to come home, have some coffee, eat a small breakfast and workout. Talk about dreaming. LOL

I came home, changed my toddler, and apparently knocked out til noon. I know that sounds nice and all but the reality is that I'd prefer to be more active. I'm use to being out at the gym daily or at the least out for a jog. This has not been happening.

So I re upped on my daily vitamins which I've been skipping out on due to simply being a little discombobbled. I opted for the Animal pack vitamins which have done me well in the past.

Today is an official day 1 back at the gym for me. I get to train an old neighbor of mine who prefers we work out as lifting partners which is great news for me. I prefer not to leave my wife with a newborn and a todler running crazy, but, we have 2 teens in the house that can help out. She's given the ok and I am READY TO ROLL!  I'm sure the nap til noon helped.

My first month workout regimen will look like the regimen below. I haven't added the amount of weight I'll be lifting because I need to establish a 1 rep first in order to know where to begin based on my goal.

Regimen:
Day 1 :   Chest - Standard Bench
                            Incline Bench
               Tricep- Skull crushers
                            Single arm Kick backs
                            Body weight dips to fail
Abs - Full sit ups to fail
                          bicycles to fail
Day 2 :   Back - Bent over barbell pulls
                           Pull ups
                          Straight leg Dead lifts
               Biceps - Alternating Barbell curls
                              Reverse chin ups
                              EZ bar cirls
                Abs - leg lifts
                          Leg raises
                          Full sit ups
Day 3 :   Quads - Barbell Squats
                              Dumbbell lunges
                              Hamstring Curls
        Shoulders - Military Press
                             Arnold Press
                             Lateral Raises
Abs - Full Sit Ups to fail
                            Leg Lifts

Cardio will take place on my off days. I'm curious to know how you start your beginning workouts and what supplements you might use to fuel your body.

To Train or not to Train

Just like everyone else, I have my lazy moments. Specially now a days with a 1 week old in the house. Nothing could have prepared me for what  has come with a 1 & 1/2 yr old running around and taking care of a newborn. Talk about a handful. :-)

The mountain of diapers are unexpected, the energy expensed while tripple checking that the toddler hasn't tried to jump into the bassinet with the little one, waking up at 3 am after barely going to sleep at 1 am and waking up at 6 am. Is it worth it?? Definitely!

I just feel like I'm wiped. No energy. I have the desire to be in the gym or at least workout at home, however I find that I've become completely lazy and only long for the comforts of my own bed. Yet I know that I can't allow this to take over and let me become stagnet in my goal to be completely fit.

So at this point I'm going to go ahead and and make a pre workout. I'll take a little bit of Jacked shown here:

And see if I can get a decent home workout going. It's gonna be a tough one that is for sure. I'll be trying to keep my toddler exercising with me. (You should see her try to do push ups. )

Tell me, when you're feeling lazy what do you do to get your engine started to exercise?

HTC One X (AT&T Model)

Not too far back my wife and I upgraded our phones thru our carrier AT&T. I opted for the HOX (HTC One X). One side of me wanted to jump on the Sg3 bandwagon but with my history on a Samsung phone I couldn't force myself to do it. So I decided to jump on the HTC Mothership at the time. I've had some what of a roller coaster ride of emotions with this phone, however, I'm pretty satisfied with it for the most part.

At first I thought I did enough homework on the phone to make a knowledgeable purchase. After returning my first within the first 30 days I was a little skepticle. However the sales person eased my fears and as my wife says, "you're so picky it's probably your imagination". She could be right. I get a little uptight when it comes to my electronics so I'm always focusing on the most minute thing.

As time went on I did what EVERY phone addict does and I jumped on XDA Developers and started reading up. Turns out that AT&T not only did a bait and switch on me, they stopped offering the cloud service of Dropbox as well. As it turns out, I thought I was getting a quadcore phone because that's what the affiliate told me, but low and behold I'm only on a dual core. Obviously, I was a little frustrated. However, it was my fault. I really should have paid a little more attention to my investigation into the phone before my purchase.

I decided that I should just remain stock and enjoy the features. The rapid fire camera on the phone is awesome. I have a todler and a newborn and that rapid fire comes in HANDY. Another great addition is the ability to take shots during video recording as well as playback. So any shots that I've missed I can play back and capture them directly from the video. They've both been ingenious additions that both my wife and I find extremely useful.

Not too long after finally getting over the bait and switch I feel happened, my brother picked up the Sgs3 and began his bragging session. NFC this, WiFi direct that, Google wallet, etc. Low and behold it turns out that my HOX has the exact same benefits. So my wife and I decided to start playing with the phones. Turns out the only thing we can transfer to each other via NFC are apps. A little frustrating, but ok. We moved on to the WiFi direct and for some reason, no such luck to send pictures and videos. Not sure why it's on the phones if we can't use it. So I decided to play dumb and act like it didn't exist. I've lived without it before. On to Google wallet. I've heard so many awesome things about this feature and of course I was excited to check it out. Time to open up the play store and download the app. Low and behold, it's not available? But it's a Google App... for a Google phone?

After a little research, it turns out that AT&T has blocked Google Wallet because they're looking to make money off this feature with another company. I wanted to throw my phone through a wall. However, I wasn't going to take my frustrations of AT&T out on my phone.

I believe at this point I've decided it's time to Root, remove the Sense UI and flash a nice AOSP ROM. If you have any suggestions on one that helps utilize all of these awesome features feel free to chime in!

Thanks
